Polyaluminium chloride in Pakistan, supplied from Karachi stock.
Industrial 10% Al₂O₃ liquid, drinking-water 12% liquid, and solid grades at 29 to 32%. Sole Pakistan agent of Shaanxi Ande Technology. COA on factory letterhead with every batch, MSDS pre-shipment, and stockholding in Clifton so a 5 MT plant order leaves the warehouse the same week.
Five things a Pakistani procurement officer should know before signing a PAC contract.
Most polyaluminium chloride sold in Pakistan is either repackaged Chinese material at a heavy margin, or globally branded product on European lead times. The middle lane is a vetted Chinese factory routed through a Pakistani sole agent. That is the lane we own.
Four grades, one factory, one supply chain.
The grades below are the Shaanxi Ande catalogue. Click any row through to the full TDS on the PAC product page. Spec sheet ships with every batch; tailored formulations are available where the feedwater profile justifies them.
| Grade | Al₂O₃ assay | Typical dose | Typical use | Reference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Industrial liquid | ≥ 10% | 60 to 250 ppm | Textile ETP, paper-mill clarifier, municipal raw water | PAC TDS |
| Industrial solid | ≥ 29% | 30 to 80 ppm (dissolved on-site) | Bulk import where freight per kg of active matters | PAC TDS |
| Drinking-water liquid | ≥ 12% | 10 to 60 ppm | KW&SB / WASA potable plants, bottled water | PAC TDS |
| Drinking-water solid | ≥ 32% | 5 to 30 ppm (dissolved on-site) | Remote municipal plants, low-storage sites | PAC TDS |
All grades: basicity 60 to 85%, pH 3.5 to 5.0 on 1% solution, water-insoluble ≤ 0.2% on drinking liquid. Heavy-metal panel: arsenic ≤ 2 ppm, mercury ≤ 0.1 ppm, lead ≤ 10 ppm, cadmium ≤ 2 ppm, hexavalent chromium ≤ 5 ppm.
An IPP in Punjab on cooling-tower makeup clarification.
The plant ran imported PAC from a European brand on 9-week lead times, with frequent stock-outs forcing emergency drum buys at 3× spot. We switched the makeup-water clarifier to Shaanxi Ande industrial liquid at 120 ppm against canal water turbidity of 80 to 140 NTU, holding 4 MT buffer in Karachi for them. Settled-water turbidity fell to 18 NTU on consistent dose. Annualized chemistry spend dropped roughly 22% on like-for-like active content, and stock-outs stopped.
A Faisalabad textile dye-house ETP.
The mill was buying Buckman flocculant through a Lahore agent on 4-week lead times. The chemistry held but every PO became a procurement crisis. We jar-tested Shaanxi Ande industrial liquid PAC against the dye-house's reactive-dye mix, then paired it with CPAM for sludge dewatering. PAC dose settled at 180 ppm on dye-loaded effluent. COD dropped from 1,800 to 540 mg/L post-clarifier, sludge dry-solids climbed to 26% on the belt press. Cost-in-use ran 18% below the Buckman incumbent; lead time on bulk PAC compressed from 4 weeks to 5 days ex-Karachi.
A Karachi pharmaceutical plant on municipal-feed pretreatment.
The plant takes KW&SB municipal water for utility duties and runs it through a clarifier-then-RO train. The chemistry was a domestic Karachi blender's PAC of inconsistent assay, drifting between 6 and 11% Al₂O₃. We switched to drinking-grade 12% liquid with a fixed-assay COA per batch and a written dosing programme. The RO front-end stopped seeing aluminium carryover, antiscalant load on the membranes normalised, and the QA team finally had a defensible chain of custody for the regulator's annual audit.
MOQ tiers, payment terms, INCO options.
Three engagement shapes by order size. Pricing is custom by grade and volume; submit a quote request and we return a written offer with the COA sample and indicative band within 2 business days.
Pricing bands are not published. Each quote is sized to grade, volume, INCO, and packaging. The cost-in-use comparator at /calculators/cost-in-use/ runs the math against your incumbent on per-MT-of-active basis.
Polyaluminium chloride is a freight-sensitive commodity. The active compound is 10 to 32% of the shipped mass; the rest is water or excipient. A direct-from-China import without a Karachi-side agent leaves the buyer carrying full ocean-freight on the inactive fraction, plus the FX exposure between PO and CIF arrival, plus the customs-clearance lead time. A Karachi-stocked lane collapses those frictions.
Our sole-agent contract with Shaanxi Ande is paired with the Innovative Water Technology blending line in Karachi for the cases where local touch-up makes sense. The economics: buy in bulk in solid form on the factory shipping mode, dilute or re-blend in Karachi when the plant wants liquid in IBC. The corridor model is documented in full on the sourcing page.
Most PAC accounts run alongside one of these chemistries.
Polyaluminium chloride rarely runs solo on industrial duties. The two pairings below are the most common on the AAS book.
Procurement, dosing, what to expect.
What grades of polyaluminium chloride do you supply in Pakistan?
Four grades: industrial liquid (≥ 10% Al₂O₃), industrial solid (≥ 29%), drinking-water liquid (≥ 12%), drinking-water solid (≥ 32%). All four come from Shaanxi Ande Technology under our sole-agent contract, with basicity 60 to 85% and pH 3.5 to 5.0 on 1% solution. COA per batch.
How quickly can you dispatch a polyaluminium chloride order from Karachi?
Stock-spec liquid PAC ships from our Karachi warehouse within 3 to 5 working days. Solid grades and custom-blend orders take 2 to 3 weeks when drawn from the Innovative Water Technology line in Karachi, or 4 to 6 weeks on factory-direct import from Shaanxi Ande.
What is the minimum order quantity?
MOQ is 200 kg for stock-spec liquid and 1 metric tonne for solid grades. Trial drums of 25 to 50 kg are available on request for new accounts running pilot jar tests. Program-scale tiers run 5 MT same-week ex-stock through 50 MT on 4-week factory-direct.
Do you provide a Certificate of Analysis with each batch?
Yes. Every shipment carries a COA on Shaanxi Ande factory letterhead with the lot number, Al₂O₃ assay, basicity, density, pH, water-insoluble content, and the heavy-metal panel (As, Hg, Pb, Cd, Cr⁶⁺). MSDS arrives pre-shipment so the buyer's HSE team clears documentation before drums land.
How does your polyaluminium chloride compare to Kemira PAX-XL on cost-in-use?
On industrial 10% Al₂O₃ liquid, the Shaanxi Ande source typically lands 15 to 25% lower delivered-PKR vs Kemira PAX-XL once you normalize for active content and lead-time risk. The cost-in-use calculator at /calculators/cost-in-use/ runs the math on your specific dosing curve. The bigger advantage is operational: weeks of stock buffer in Karachi vs months on European direct import.
Can I get a sample before placing a commercial order?
Yes. We send 1 to 2 kg of the grade you're evaluating, plus the matching COA, at no commercial commitment. Most plant chemists run a jar test against their current incumbent before signing. Sample dispatch is 2 to 3 working days from Karachi.
Do you support technical site visits in Pakistan?
Yes. Our applications engineer visits the plant on commissioning and reviews KPIs quarterly within 250 km of Karachi. Beyond that radius, we coordinate visits around scheduled plant audits. Emergency support via WhatsApp on +92 300 823 9990, same engineer on the line 24/7.
Send the plant profile, get a COA-anchored quote in 2 business days.
Three minutes of intake (grade, volume, water source, INCO preference). Rayhan replies with a written offer, the matching factory COA sample, and an indicative band. From there, sample dispatch is 2 to 3 working days.
